Ruffatti, 2001
Miami, Church of the Epiphany
Incredible sound enhanced by outstanding architecture
As soon as you enter the Church of the Epiphany in Miami, Florida (USA), the Ruffatti organ, custom designed to fit the architectural uniqueness of the church, will overwhelm you!
The organ, built by Italian pipe organ builder Fratelli Ruffatti, was shipped to the USA and installed in 2001. The case front of the organ is accentuated with ovals and arches, which perfectly matches the interior of the church.
In addition to the unique design of the organ, the sound is also very impressive. The organ includes a total of 3,472 pipes, divided over 61 ranks and 41 stops, all inspired by the traditions of renowned European pipe organ builders. Thanks to the voicing expertise of the Ruffatti firm, the result is a broad variety of sounds which blend harmoniously together.
Due to its diversity, the organ is a well-known and loved instrument both for the liturgy in church and for organ concerts. Many very talented artists have already played this organ, including the young organists who have participated in the triennial Miami International Organ Competition that is hosted by the Church of the Epiphany.
